A brief bio

Hi! I’m Albert, the writer of this blog. I’m currently based in Seattle, where I work as a data scientist at Amazon. Prior to starting a career in tech, I received my PhD in biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University and studied math and statistics as an undergrad at the University of Chicago.

I started this blog in 2019, inspired by all the blogs I follow, and I try to write useful and interesting things for the community. If you’re new here, I recommend checking out my start here page to see what kind of topics I write about. I’ve also spent (wasted) many hours tinkering with the blog theme and convincing myself that it makes a difference.

The best way to contact me is to message me on Twitter or shoot me an e-mail. Feel free to reach out – it’s always great to hear from readers and know that I’m not writing into the void.
